A tense Nuke
FURIA defeated Liquid 2-0 in the PGL Masters Bucharest decider between teams holding 2-2 records. On their own Nuke pick, FURIA led the first half 7-5, but Liquid stayed close and tied the score at both 9-9 and 11-11. FURIA then claimed the final two rounds to win 13-11.
Three low-buy round victories played a major role in the map. Round 19 was especially damaging for Liquid: YEKINDAR's Five-SeveN stopped the attack just as the team appeared ready to take control of the contest.
A convincing finish on Inferno
On Liquid's pick of Inferno, FURIA again won both pistol rounds and prevented the series from returning to a close contest. A six-round streak on the T side helped them close the map 13-5. YEKINDAR finished Inferno 21-8 and the full series 41-23. FURIA advanced to the quarter-finals, while Liquid ended the group stage with a 2-3 record and left the tournament.
