FURIA arrive in Beijing after winning the Thunderpick World Championship and PGL Masters Bucharest, with FaZe waiting in their first match.
Group A opener
FURIA will face FaZe on 2 November at 10:00 Moscow time. The opening IEM Beijing 2026 series is a best-of-three. Both teams are in Group A, which uses upper and lower brackets: a team leaves the group stage after its second defeat, so the first result immediately shapes its route through the bracket.
Route to the semi-finals
Three teams from each group advance to the playoffs. The group winner moves directly to the semi-finals, while the second- and third-placed teams start in the quarter-finals. The FURIA–FaZe result will therefore decide which side stays on the upper-bracket route, but winning this match alone does not secure a semi-final place.
FURIA enter the event with consecutive trophies from the Thunderpick World Championship and PGL Masters Bucharest. FaZe also begin their Beijing campaign with a Major invitation already secured. For both teams, the opener is primarily a test of current form and the first step toward winning the group.
