FURIA recovered from a 2-13 loss on Ancient, beat Nemiga 3-2 on the deciding Nuke, and won a final that peaked at 667,736 viewers.
Five maps for the trophy
The final opened with a heavy setback for FURIA as Nemiga won Ancient 13-2. The Brazilian side answered by taking Dust2 and Cache, turning a poor start into a lead in the series. Nemiga kept the match alive by winning Mirage, so the trophy was decided on Nuke. FURIA seized control there, closed the map 13-6, and completed a 3-2 victory.
This was Nemiga’s first final at this level. The team reached the fifth map and responded after losing two maps in succession, but it could not sustain that recovery on the decider. FURIA refused to let the opening rout define the series and won three of the next four maps to secure the championship.
Two trophies in thirteen days
The Bucharest victory gave FURIA a second consecutive tier-one title in only 13 days. That short interval makes the result more than an isolated successful event and strengthens the evidence of the team’s current form. Nemiga’s defeat still came with a breakthrough: its first final of this scale ended in a competitive series against an opponent already carrying recent championship experience.
FURIA’s win drew 667,736 viewers
The deciding series was the most-watched match of PGL Masters Bucharest 2026. Esports Charts recorded a peak of 667,736 concurrent viewers across the open streaming channels it tracks. This was the event high, not the size of the complete audience across every possible platform and viewing format. PGL Astana 2026 remains PGL’s non-Major record holder with a peak above 1.16 million.
