The slide does most of the work
On a Desert Eagle, the slide takes up most of what you see, both in first-person view and on catalog images. Designs use it in very different ways:
- Desert Eagle | Printstream covers it in white with black typography, so wear shows as grey grime across a big flat area.
- Desert Eagle | Code Red uses a solid red with white details, which hides light wear well.
- Desert Eagle | Blaze paints flames over chrome on the front half of the slide and leaves the frame black.
When you compare Desert Eagle skins, start with the top edge of the slide: it is where wear appears first.
Float ranges
Three examples show the spread well. The Blaze has a range of 0–0.08, so it only exists as Factory New or Minimal Wear, and the two look almost the same. The Printstream runs from 0 to 0.80, and the Code Red covers the full 0–1 range. Two Battle‑Scarred Code Reds can therefore look quite different. The float guide explains how to read these numbers.
Sources and StatTrak
Skins from weapon cases also come in StatTrak™ versions: the Printstream comes from the Fracture Case and the Code Red from the Horizon Case. The Blaze belongs to The Dust Collection and has no StatTrak™ version. Each skin page lists its own collection and cases, and the cases and collections guide explains how the two are connected.
Colour ideas
Red suits this pistol's big slide, and the red skins selection includes Desert Eagle designs. For a light setup, combine the Printstream with the matching rifle and pistol from the black and white selection. Blue options are in the blue skins selection.
