Automatic server matching on FACEIT will go live on December 9 with Season 10.
FACEIT is introducing automatic server matching for Counter-Strike 2 in Season 10. The platform will rate every available location using live and historical connection data for each player and their party, including ping, jitter, and packet loss. The system is scheduled to launch on December 9.
How the server will be selected
The system will first remove locations where an individual player or party member has an inadequate connection. FACEIT will then choose the option rated best for the group as a whole. This replaces the previous flow in which participants selected servers themselves before a match.
What control players retain
Players will not lose all influence: each party may exclude one server location. At high load, selected servers will be reserved for Premium and Super subscribers’ matches, then reopen to everyone as demand falls. FACEIT has not yet disclosed the specific new cities or regions. The practical effect will therefore become clearer after launch, when players can judge how consistently the algorithm balances connection quality across an entire party.
