Pattern matters more than usual
Every copy of a skin gets a pattern number (a seed from 0 to 1000). On most designs it only shifts the artwork slightly. On Case Hardened it changes how the blue, gold and purple areas are distributed across the receiver, the magazine and the barrel parts. That is why screenshots of this skin vary so much. We don't list specific seeds or claim that one is better than another; the patterns guide explains how to compare copies yourself.
Float and wear
The float range is the full 0–1. Wear behaves differently from painted designs: the colours are part of the metal finish, so heavier wear mostly dulls and scratches the surface rather than removing artwork. The wood stock and handguard stay wood-coloured. When you compare copies, the pattern usually changes the look more than the exterior does.

The same finish is available on knives too, for example the Karambit | Case Hardened. More rifle skins are on the AK-47 page.
