Slide-only finishes and full designs
Glock-18 skins split into two groups. Some paint only the slide and leave the grey polymer frame as it is. The Glock-18 | Fade is one: its gradient runs along the slide from orange to blue. The Glock-18 | Gamma Doppler is another, with a marbled, candy-coated slide. Other skins cover the whole pistol, like the Glock-18 | Water Elemental with its cyan creature on a red base. In first-person view the slide is what you see most, so slide-only finishes still feel colourful in a match.
Phases on a pistol
The Gamma Doppler has five phases: Phase 1 to Phase 4 and Emerald. Each phase is its own colour scheme, and the skin page shows all of them with captions. Unlike the Doppler knives, which stop at a float of 0.08, the Glock's Gamma Doppler runs from 0 to 0.50, so it exists in every exterior. The patterns guide explains how phases differ from patterns.
Float ranges and StatTrak
The Fade has a range of 0–0.08, so it is only Factory New or Minimal Wear. The Water Elemental runs from 0 to 0.70 and shows wear as red chips on the slide. The Water Elemental comes from the Operation Breakout Weapon Case and has a StatTrak™ version. The Fade (The Assault Collection) and the Gamma Doppler (The 2021 Train Collection) have no StatTrak™ versions. The StatTrak and Souvenir guide explains why some skins never get a counter.
Colour ideas
Red Glock-18 designs appear in the red skins selection, and a black-and-white one is in the black and white selection. For the general rules of reading wear, see the exteriors guide.
