What a phase is
A Doppler is not one look but several. Each phase is a separate version of the finish with its own colours. The phase is fixed for a given copy, but it is not part of the market name: every phase is listed as Karambit | Doppler with an exterior, so check a picture of the specific copy to know which one it is. We don't rank phases; they are different looks, and the best one is the one you like.
Pattern within a phase
Inside one phase, the pattern number still moves the marbling around the blade, so two Phase 2 copies can differ in where the darker and brighter areas fall. The patterns guide explains how to compare such copies without relying on numbers.
Float and related knives
Factory New covers floats up to 0.07, Minimal Wear the rest. Wear has very little effect on the look. The same phases are available on the M9 Bayonet | Doppler from the same cases and on the Butterfly Knife | Doppler from other cases. More on the Karambit page.
