Same finish, different blade
The M9 Bayonet | Doppler and the Karambit | Doppler share almost everything: the finish, the seven phases, the 0–0.08 float range and the three Chroma cases. What separates them is the knife itself. The M9 Bayonet has a long straight blade with a sawback spine and a guard, so the marbled colours spread over a large flat surface. On the curved Karambit the same finish follows the bend of the blade. If you can't decide between the two, compare the same phase on both knives.
Phases and pattern
Each phase is a separate version with its own colours. Ruby, Sapphire and Black Pearl are each built around one dominant colour, as their names suggest, while Phases 1 to 4 mix several tones. The market name doesn't show the phase, so check the picture of a specific copy. Inside one phase the pattern number moves the marbling, which is why copies of the same phase still differ. We don't rank phases or patterns.
Float
Floats up to 0.07 are Factory New, and from 0.07 to 0.08 Minimal Wear. For the guide to phases versus patterns, see the patterns guide.
